Ice Fishing Tournament and Raffle

Results:

  • 185 participants! Exceeding expectations for a first-year tournament!
  • 188 northern pike caught
  • 1 largemouth bass caught
  • Largest northern: 30"-31"
  • Smallest northern: 8"
  • Caught fish were either kept by the participant or donated to the cause.
  • Donated fish were:

  1. Filleted and fried on the spot to be  enjoyed by participants.
  2. Offered to people in attendance to take home and enjoy.
  3. Donated to the Raptor Rehabilitation Center in Antigo, WI for natural feeding purposes.

  • 16 northern were tagged and put back in the water 10 days before the tournament. Unfortunately none of the tagged fish were caught. 
  • $2000 was paid out in prizes to people who caught fish.
  • Temperatures were in the mid-to upper 30°s!  Breezy but all-in-all, a beautiful day.
